The “Spirit BSB online” project take the  unique opportunity offered by CBC Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 program, a program which overall objectives is to improve the welfare of the people in the Black Sea basin regions through sustainable growth and joint environmental protection. The Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is part of European Union’s Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) under its European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI).

ENI CBC receives funding from ENI as well as from the European Regional Development Fund and the Instrument for Pre-Accession which is pooled together. All sources of funding may be used on either side of the EU external border for actions of common benefit.

The Black Sea Basin ENI CBC programme 2014-2020 builds upon the previous cooperation framework, the Black Sea Basin ENPI CBC programme 2007-2013, under which 62 projects were awarded and implemented in 8 countries surrounding the Black Sea Basin. On the first of june 2020 started the implementation of the project entitled “Leave your Environmentalist Spirit Online for the Black Sea Basin” with the acronym “Spirit BSB online” number 1064 within the Joint Operational Program Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 program wich is funded by the European Union. The project falls into the priority 2.2 of the program: promote common awarness-raising and joint actions to reduce river and marine litter.

The overall objective is  to improve the welfare of the people in the Black Sea Basin regions throught sustainable growth and joint environmental protection.

The specific objectives is to promote coodination of environmental protection and joint reduction of marine litter in the Black Sea Basin.

The overall objectives of our project is to increase awareness and knowledge of environmental issues of Black Sea Basin by promoting joint sensibilization action,  by creating a positive model and positive behaviors of young,  and by wide spreading of this model, for contribute to joint environmental protection.

The project consortium consists of 4 partners:

The project duration is 2 years.

,,Spirit BSB Online’’ project is built on four groups of activities:

1) The first group of the research program will be represented by information activities and search for updated data, rigorously structured on the state of pollution of the Black Sea basin. The entire program area will be the subject of research. The team will also focus on defining an external area of the BSB with a polluting impact on the BSB, and the potential pollution risks in these areas.

2) The second group, respectively the second research will be about the current state of environmental education; the project will identify and define the educational model in schools in the three partner countries and will work on the development of innovative tools in the field of environmental education, having as main subject the protection of the Black Sea The project will develop environmental education tools that use IT and the internet. The team will create a video game, especially for environmental education, but also an online platform, in which to create an online spirit for the Black Sea.

3) The third group will develop the integrated training program “Young Environmentalists” designed to take place on three levels: classical education through lessons in lessons, education through play, use the digital phase of the game, then move to environmental education in context real in nature.

4) The fourth group, the environmental campaign program will include a one-year online campaign, entitled “10,000 online for the Black Sea” and will be organized through the platform. Each partner will be organized 4 environmental events to to celebrate International Black Sea Day, as well as a joint online petition action “Not only eight use the Black Sea” . At the end, there will be an international environmental conference where specialists and experts in pollution and solutions from outside the Black Sea Basin will be invited.
